Would you believe when The Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 in Orlando Florida and that the price of the Magic Kingdom tickets were only $4.95. Today your looking at around $70. At the same time there were only 2 Disney resort hotels. They were Contemporary Resort and Polynesian Resort. The thing that amazed everyone was how the monorail runs through the Contemporary Resort lobby.

As you walk down the Main Street you do not have any idea that the buildings are not life-size. Disney applies a process of changed perception to produce the illusion. Guests are oblivious that the upper stories of the buildings are not full size. Cinderella's Castle standing at 189 feet tall looks taller than it really is due to the design of the castle itself and the size of the buildings on Main Street.
